S.F. Democratic Party stands behind Flock surveillance cameras in vote
San Francisco Democratic Party가 Flock 감시 카메라 지지를 재확인하는 결의안을 통과시켰다. Gordon Mar 전 supervisor의 가드레일 강화 및 계약 중단 검토안은 부결됐고, Nancy Tung과 Matt Dorsey의 신뢰 확인안이 찬성 11, 기권 4, 반대 3으로 가결됐다. Flock에 근무하는 Lily Ho와 Trevor Chandler 위원은 이해충돌에도 불구하고 투표에 참여했으며, 위원회는 이에 대한 규정이 없다고 밝혔다. 2024~2025년 Flock 데이터가 160만 회 이상 무단 접근된 사실이 양측 모두 인정됐다.
“I’ve got some real concerns about privacy,” said committee member Patrick Boileau. “I’ve got some real concerns about surveillance. But I’ve also got some concerns about crime.”
