Ladybird passes Safari Technology Preview on Web Platform Tests
This Month in Ladybird – October 2026
Ladybird's October update is a sprint: style and layout now run off the main thread, so CSS animations and :hover keep working even while JavaScript blocks — something no other browser does today. LibJS gained an optimizing JIT, a new WebAssembly engine scores about 7x higher on JetStream 3, and the browser UI was redesigned. On October 26, Ladybird passed Safari Technology Preview on Web Platform Tests, ending the month at 2,184,722 subtests.
As far as we know, no other browser can do this today.
