tmux-restore - Reboot-proof tmux with agent session resume
Show HN: Tmux-restore saves tmux windows and agent sessions across reboots
Ever rebooted and lost a dozen tmux windows, along with the agent conversations running in them? tmux-restore saves everything every minute and right before shutdown, then puts it all back when tmux starts. Sessions, windows, splits, working directories, and scrollback return intact. Panes running Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, opencode, or pi reopen the exact conversation they were in, with the same flags. Editors and monitors restart automatically, while risky commands like deploys or dev servers come back typed on the prompt, waiting for Enter. Install with a single curl command; it sets up tmux, TPM, and plugins for you.
Reboot-proof tmux. Your coding agents pick up mid-conversation.

Hi everyone I built this since it'd be so frustrating to have all my tmux windows with different paths and layouts all destroyed when restarting my computer (e.g. for installing drivers). It also resumes e.g. claude code sessions. Hope it helps!

I’m pretty sure I’ve used tmux-ressurect for this. What’s the difference?

This sounds great! Might convince me to defect from GNU screen.
