Reviewers barely mention reliability; owners bring it up twice as often
Reviewers rarely talk about reliability. Owners bring it up twice as often
BettaScore analyzed 6,900 YouTube review opinions and 3,567 Reddit owner opinions across 14 product categories. Reliability, durability and support came up in 7.8% of reviewer opinions versus 17.0% of owner opinions, and owners raised it more in 13 of 14 categories. When owners do mention it, 70% of what they say is negative compared with 15% for reviewers. Apps show the same split: both sides discuss them equally, but 71% of owner opinions are negative versus 21% from reviewers.
A review covers a few weeks; the failures owners write about tend to come months later.
