Gforth 1.0 arrives with multi-core multitasking and a smarter text interpreter
After years in development, Gforth 1.0 is here. The release adds multi-core multitasking with message queues and Cilk-style work distribution, a text interpreter that recognizes more literal forms and is extensible via recognizers, IDE features like source browsing and backtraces, closures, a new word header layout, and performance on par with SwiftForth. It also documents which words are permanently supported and which may be removed.
It is now documented which words are intended to be permanently supported, and which are not.
