Omnara is an open-source, self-hostable alternative to Claude Managed Agents and OpenAI's Agents API. It lets you run AI agents on any model—OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, or your own—across any machine, with tools, secrets, permissions, and streaming built in. Agents run in sandboxes from eleven providers or on your own laptop, VM, or container, and every step is saved to Postgres so agents survive crashes and restarts. Connect them to Slack, Discord, and GitHub, or launch them via REST API, TypeScript SDK, or CLI. Self-host for free under Apache 2.0, or use Omnara Cloud.
