Show HN: I got tired of btop not seeing my Mac's chip, so I built siltop

siltop - Honest Apple Silicon system monitor for the terminal

siltop is a calm, honest system monitor for Apple Silicon Macs that finally lets you see what btop can't: real watts, per-cluster clocks, GPU usage, temperatures, and fans — all without sudo or telemetry. Built in Rust as a single ~3 MB binary, it sips about 1.3% of one core, supports every M1–M5 chip, and pairs a deep Work dashboard with a compact Glance view. Beyond the UI, it offers JSON/NDJSON/Prometheus output, alerts, session record/replay, and a multi-Mac fleet view. Install via Homebrew or try `siltop --demo` to explore instantly.

siltop sits in between: as clean as you want by default, as deep as you need when something is wrong.

This is nice, however why build this when you could have raised a PR to btop to add support directly into it?

If you don't bother to write your own announcement, I don't bother to look at your thing.

Please, please, take the time to write READMEs by hand. It at least shows intentionality.
