Anthropic's Scion is heavily inspired by Mononoke

Anthropic's new version control system, Scion, uses "derived data" to speed up blames—a concept the author helped pioneer in Mononoke at Meta years earlier. He argues the resemblance goes beyond shared insight and that Scion's announcement fails to credit Mononoke, bordering on plagiarism. While he welcomes the spread of good ideas, he warns that LLMs trained on open-source designs will increasingly reproduce them without attribution.
