TorrentClaw, a new AI-built torrent search engine with over six million torrents, uses a feature called TrueSpec to verify whether downloads match their names. TrueSpec joins swarms, downloads 10–20 MB per torrent, and runs ffprobe and VirusTotal checks. It has flagged 34 confirmed malware cases, mostly fake episodes hiding a malicious libvlc.dll alongside a genuine VLC player. The system is cheap, but its coverage is limited and legal risks remain.

The implicit point: if verification is this cheap, any indexer could be doing it, and none are.
