A Vinyl Record, a Stained-Glass Cross, and a 40-Year-Old Mystery
The Toftwood Male Voice Choir: A Mystery Pressed in Vinyl

An impulse buy of a Toftwood Male Voice Choir LP at a crate-digging session turns into a detective story. Using only sleeve notes, a green stained-glass cross, and Google Maps, the author tries to reunite the record with its singers—only to find the trail going cold as members age and studios vanish.
I still haven’t played the record. I don’t think I want to either. A part of me feels a little spooked out by what I might hear.

In my head this record sounds like the "Tonge Singers" from Joe Barnes' The Rare Folk:

Quaint but really not worth reading. There was no mystery, just an author that decided to try to give an LP he bought to a choir member. Then he does some internet sleuthing and identifies locations but none of the people.
He fires off a few emails and that's it. He doesn't even follow up as he doesn't want to come across as a stalker - definitely a wise move, but then why write an article about it if there's nothing to report?

Btw, "Fijnaarts Jeugdorkest" seems to be a recording from the youth orchestra of the town of Fijnaart, Netherlands.
