Remote exercise eases chronic low back pain whether live or pre-recorded
Remote Live vs. Pre-Recorded Exercise Training for Chronic Low Back Pain (RCT)
A randomized trial of 94 adults with chronic low back pain found that a 12-week remote exercise program cut pain intensity by more than 20% compared with a waitlist, regardless of whether sessions were delivered live over Zoom or through pre-recorded videos. Women reported less pain relief, and the benefits were mediated by better self-rated health, more physical activity, and faster gait speed.
Altogether, these results support that, independently of the mode of delivery (live vs. pre‐recorded), remote exercise training is an accessible alternative to effectively alleviate CLBP.
