macOS 27 Golden Gate leaves Mission Control and Stage Manager a stuttering mess
macOS 27 is so buggy
Mac users are reporting laggy Mission Control, Stage Manager, and full-screen app switching after installing macOS 27 Golden Gate. Complaints include stuttering animations, flickering thumbnails, black spaces, and sluggish redraws. The issues may stem from bugs or incompatibilities in Mission Control, Stage Manager, or WindowServer, though background indexing could also be a factor. Suggested fixes include reducing transparency, disabling auto-hide Dock, turning on Reduce Motion, updating apps, and avoiding background videos or animations.
For me personally, I have noticed in some heavy usage situations that Mission Control and Stage Manager can both be peculiarly laggy if there are many apps and browser windows open, but especially if any of those windows or apps have a video or multimedia playing.
