Engrams - Self-hosted orchestrator for AI coding agents

Engrams is an open-source, self-hosted alternative to Devin that runs AI coding agents in isolated Firecracker microVMs on your own cloud. Each session is a plain OCI image plus an agent harness like Claude Code or Codex. Idle sessions are snapshotted into deduplicated chunks and cost nothing to keep, restoring in under 100 ms on the same host. It ships with a dashboard, CLI, Slack integration, and 24 connectors, and deploys to GKE or EKS with Terraform and Helm. Your code, transcripts, and keys never leave your account.

Every session is a real virtual machine. Isolation is KVM, enforced by hardware, not a container boundary. Outbound traffic from a session goes through a filtering proxy on the host, so an agent reaches only the hosts you allow.
