At fifteen, a teacher's mockery made me abandon woodworking. Decades later, a dog gate led to a raised bed and alcove shelves. Using YouTube tutorials and tools from Black & Decker, Bosch, and Screwfix, I learned to scribe, cut sleepers, and improvise fixes. My cuts were often crooked and I rushed the painting, but the results are functional and deeply satisfying.
