A Dual PDP-10 Named KICKI Is Being Brought Back to Life
Kicki: A DECsystem1060 – Interim Computer Museum
The Interim Computer Museum is restoring KICKI, a dual PDP-10 KI10 system with two CPUs (serial numbers 522 and 606). Former DEC field engineer Gary Solomon confirmed both CPUs have complete module complements. The museum has powered up the full KI10 CPU for the first time in years, replaced original linear power supplies with modern switching units for efficiency, and plans to use MIT-MC's memory cabinets to restore its 512KW memory.
In June we were able to complete the power modifications to Bay 3 which allowed us to power up the complete KI10 CPU for the first time in many years.
