PipePipe: NewPipe hard fork implementing SponsorBlock
PipePipe is an open-source Android app for browsing YouTube and other services. Forked from NewPipe in early 2022, it integrates SponsorBlock for skipping sponsored segments, restores YouTube dislikes, shows original titles, and supports login for restricted content. Additional features include danmaku-style live chat overlays, AV1 and VP9 codecs, background music playback, advanced filtering, and enhanced playlists.
Making a hard fork allows us to effectively address issues with quick fixes and maintain frequent feature updates.
