Critic is a code review tool that lets you ask questions directly to the coding agent that authored the change. It introduces a leased handoff system: questions wait for the author's agent, and any connected device can claim the work for 45 seconds, ensuring exactly one device owns a question at a time. If a device goes offline, its work is returned without losing context. The tool also makes anchor movement conservative, scoring rename and context candidates and flagging ambiguous matches instead of silently attaching to the wrong line. The UI shows which device is answering and turns stale leases into a Reconnecting state. Critic solves the problem of asynchronous code review when the original author's machine is offline, keeping session transcripts local and context intact.
