Waymo launches transit rewards, a first-of-its-kind program in the San Francisco Bay Area that gives riders $2.85 in Waymo Cash when they link their Visa card and take a Waymo ride and public transit within two hours. The program covers all 27 Bay Area transit agencies that accept contactless Visa tap-to-pay and includes a Caltrain partnership with 40 leased parking spaces. It follows pilots in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
This partnership does exactly that by using new technology to strengthen public transit, not replace it, making regional travel more seamless and giving people more ways to get where they need to go.
