To motivate their astronomical valuations they need AI to replace everything else. It has to be used for everything. For these companies to ever become profitable all the software engineers in the world need to become dependent on their products. They want to be the landlord and for the rest of the world to pay them rent.

I'm anti-AI to write code (coz' I simply love it since +40 years, so why should I ask something to do it for me?), but the title is just click-bait anyway. The article itself even has some clues that contradict the title. I precisely often use it to learn stuff, nothing else. Because you never stop learning about code. Granted I don't use AI the way 99% people do, that's for sure (I never felt the need to pay for it TBH).

Another day, another click-baity title about AI. Of course the article is more nuanced than its title, but still... I now learn much more than ever and it's all because of agents. There's something great for learning about a machine that can explain in various ways without getting tired of repeating and without ego.
