We tasted and ranked 17 different Mango varieties to find the best one
I organized a mango tasting contest with six judges, scoring 17 varieties on sweetness, texture, color, and smell. Imam Pasand won, followed by Raspuri and Amarpally. The project began after a failed Mango Affogato and two rainy trips to Lalbagh's mango festival. The full spreadsheet is available, and I plan to make it an annual event.
I had to overeat for a few days, but I managed to finish the Mangoes.

There is a Pakistani variant called "Anwar Ratol" which is not in the list. I believe, it's the best mango variety ever.

My recommendation is to be friendly with the greengrocery employee/owner so they recommend the best mangos. (I'm not sure there are so many varieties here, but picking one that is ripe to eat today is not so easy.)
