OrangePi Zero 3W Review: Tiny yet Powerful
The OrangePi Zero 3W is a tiny single-board computer with the same Allwinner A733 SoC as the larger OrangePi 4 Pro, offering up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and a 3 TOPS NPU. In this review, I test its performance, power consumption (2-2.5W idle), and thermal management with the included fan and heatsink. I also run Ubuntu 26.04 server and multiple services like PiHole and Jellyfin, finding it a capable low-power home server despite limited ports and storage options.
The heatsink being able to clear the heat also means that the heatsink is itself very hot at all times. When you place your finger on it you feel it immediately, and you probably want to be careful about what it might be in contact with. And keeping your finger on it for too long will certainly cause burns.
