Arm Mali G2-Ultra NX: AI-native GPU brings desktop-class graphics to mobile
Arm Mali G2-Ultra NX GPU: desktop-class mobile gameplay with AI-native graphics

Arm's Mali G2-Ultra NX is the first AI-native Mali GPU, integrating neural accelerators directly into the shader cores. This enables neural super sampling and frame rate upscaling, boosting performance efficiency by up to 4x and cutting external memory traffic by up to 70% in a demo with Sumo Digital. The new execution engine delivers up to 24% higher benchmark performance, while third-generation ray tracing with Opacity Micromaps improves complex geometry rendering. With an open software stack and early ecosystem enablement, Arm aims to make neural graphics production-ready for mobile developers.
Neural graphics offers another path, using AI to reconstruct detail, generate intermediate frames, and refine images while reducing GPU demands and overall system workload.

Any foundry in Europe able or going to manufacture a chip with this on ?

With IMG PowerVR mostly gone from Mediatek roadmap. Which means ARM Mali is effectively the GPU IP on Android, excluding Qualcomm Adreno which its market continue to shrink and concentrate on premium segment.
I wonder how far or how good Mali is now compared to others. I wish Chip and Cheese do compassion on GPU as well.

"AI-native graphics" good lord, this just reeks of "we're doing something with AI, give us some of that money".

All the hoopla about "neural graphics" just seems to mean various forms of upscaling (spatial, temporal, denoising).
I guess that's nice and makes sense on mobile, but it somehow feels a bit disappointing that realtime 3D is shifting from modeling to slop filters.

What about support in mesa?
