Naavi, a veteran Indian cyber law expert, accuses NIXI, the government-owned registry for .in domains, of arbitrarily acquiring private domain names without justification. He cites the case of dpdpa.in, which NIXI placed under server lock and planned to transfer to the government based on a vague 'desire' from the Government of India, with no show-cause notice or documented reason.
