Uber is laying off 10% of staff
Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi announced a 10% reduction in workforce as part of a significant organizational overhaul. The changes aim to simplify structures, reduce management layers, and concentrate teams in key hubs, with most remote employees required to return to offices. The company cites growth-driven complexity as the reason for the layoffs, which will affect coordination roles and micro-teams, while savings will be reinvested in growth and innovation.
