ITA Controlled English: A Human- and Machine-Readable Modeling Language
ITA Controlled English (CE)
Controlled English (CE) is a structured form of English that lets you define models of concepts, properties, and relationships in a way that both humans and machines can read. The CE Store, an IBM-initiated open-source project, provides a complete environment for experimenting with CE. With simple sentences like 'conceptualise a ~ planet ~ P that has the value M as ~ mass ~', you can build data models, then instantiate them with examples like 'there is a planet named Earth that has 5.972 × 10^24 as mass'. The store includes an Engineering Panel web interface, tutorials, and an API, and can be deployed to IBM Cloud, Docker, or locally via Maven.
A CE model contains all of the information about the data loaded into the CE Store.
