Savartus optical libraries promise 100-year, EMP-proof data archives
Physically Immutable Optical Archive Libraries

Savartus introduces Enterprise Laser Storage (ELS), a family of optical archive libraries that store data on Blu-ray or Folio discs with physical WORM (write-once-read-many) technology. The systems are immune to EMP, viruses, and malware, and media last 50–100 years without migration. Capacities range from 0.1 PB to 8.3 PB per library, with power consumption under 1 W/TB. They integrate via web interface, CLI, or Glacier-compatible APIs, offering a low-cost, long-term archival solution for compliance and retention.
Optical discs last for a minimum of 50-100 years while other media types will need to be updated or replaced every 7 to 15 years.
