Bringing France's Mitra-15 Minicomputer Back to Life in SIMH

A developer is building a SIMH simulator for the Mitra-15, a 16-bit minicomputer from French company CII (Compagnie Internationale pour l'Informatique) that was widely used in the 1970s. The project aims to preserve this important piece of computing history, as little software and documentation have survived. The author, who learned CS on a CII 10070 and later worked with Mitra systems at France Telecom, is modifying an existing SDS 940 simulator to match the Mitra-15's architecture, including its unique microcode-programmable I/O and the CII suspension system. The work is in progress, with a preliminary version that compiles but is not yet a true simulator.
