The operation, which appears to have reached small audiences, involved generating social media posts to promote IBI articles, many of which were plagiarized or misattributed. The IBI website also featured a 'sovereignty index' that cast Russia favorably. This is the first time OpenAI has disrupted a Russia-linked influence operation with such elaborate construction.
