GrapheneOS and Motorola partner to bring the privacy-focused OS to a new non-folding phone

GrapheneOS announced a partnership with Motorola, starting with a regular non-folding device. Current 2026 models (Signature, Razr Fold, Razr Ultra) are close but lack MTE, secure element integration, and other features planned for 2027. The project notes that Pixels have become harder to support since Android 16 removed them from AOSP, and Motorola will handle much of the porting work, making support easier. The upcoming devices will meet GrapheneOS's requirements, including 7 years of updates and reset attack protection.

It's very realistic to provide better security than Pixels against remote attacks. It's far harder to provide a secure element as good as the Titan M2/M3.
