MH370 search may have been in wrong place, new hydrophone evidence suggests
New evidence suggests the 12-year search for MH370 may have been in the wrong place. A French researcher's underwater microphones recorded five acoustic events around the time the plane vanished, three of which are new. The closest hydrophone to the presumed crash site was lost, but the data could point to a different location.
The one instrument with the best shot at detecting something near the seventh arc is gone, but the remaining hydrophone survived.
