Manabu Kosaka's Handmade Paper Sculptures

Manabu Kosaka creates intricate sculptures of everyday objects using only paper. Each piece is handcrafted through a meticulous process of cutting, shaping, and assembling small components over time. The result is a detailed, solid object that transforms the humble material into something extraordinary.
Each work is created entirely by hand using paper.

I genuinely don’t understand how this is possible.
If I didn’t know what these were, I’d say they were just black and white photos of a Big Mac and shoe.

These are exquisite. I wonder what drew this artist to this medium? What made him sit down and commit himself to such constraints? It certainly doesn't look like the kind of thing one does casually. Did it come to him in a dream? Did it evolve slowly as a pastime since boyhood? Did he think it would help him stand out from other sculptors?
