Trump hid in catering cart for secret flight in Turkey amid Iran threat

Amid an Iranian assassination threat, Donald Trump secretly departed Turkey on a military flight after a NATO summit, using an airport catering cart to evade detection. The White House had claimed he flew on the older Air Force One, but reports reveal he was shuttled to a smaller C-32A plane. Journalists and some staff were misled, with window shades kept closed. The ruse echoes a 2000 operation involving Bill Clinton.

As the President has said recently, there are many enemies of America who have their sights on him, and we use every tool at our disposal to address those threats.

Why would they admit all this?

If true, this is really embarrassing. Have security standards really fallen that far, that we can't protect the US president in a more dignified way? That this story is even out there at all is an embarrassing low point for US competence and security. Amidst a ton of other incompetence and general displays of weakness from the US.
