NASA's Curiosity Rover Captures Stunning High-Res Panorama of a Martian Butte
High-Res Photo Shows Sand-Capped Butte Rising from Mars Plain of Polygons
NASA's Curiosity rover has captured a breathtaking high-resolution panorama of a sand-capped butte named 'Miraflores' on Mars. The image, composed of 11 photos stitched together, reveals the 20-foot-tall butte rising from a plain covered in thousands of polygonal formations, thought to be an ancient seabed. The rover's discoveries continue to shed light on Mars' watery past and its potential to have supported life.
We've seen a lot of fascinating landscapes through Curiosity's eyes, but this sea of polygons took our breath away.

> The color was adjusted to match the lighting conditions as the human eye would see it if a person were standing on the surface of the Red Planet.
Is the non-adjusted color version available anywhere?
