BambooGrid - Open-source web UI for power grid modeling
Show HN: BambooGrid – Open-source web UI for power grid modeling and power flow

BambooGrid is an innovative open-source web interface designed for intuitive power grid modeling and load flow analysis. Built with React Flow and powered by the robust pandapower library, it allows engineers and enthusiasts to visualize complex electrical networks effortlessly. Users can simply drag and drop components like generators, transformers, and loads onto a canvas, connecting them to simulate real-world scenarios. This tool transforms intricate power system calculations into an accessible, interactive experience, making it ideal for educational purposes, rapid prototyping, and professional grid planning without needing heavy desktop software.
Drag an element onto the canvas, then connect its handle to a bus to instantly visualize and simulate complex power grid dynamics.

Really nice project, Curious what specifically made the visual canvas click
better, is it seeing the voltage colors update live, or the fact
that you have to physically wire the topology yourself instead of
reading it as code ?

Nice project.
Interactive visualizations usually make these kinds of concepts much easier to grasp than static diagrams.
I'm curious whether you've tried this with students or engineers who are completely new to power systems, and what kind of feedback you've received.

Nice and simple UI. I am new to electrical grid, and always curious to understand, overall grid and how it operates. Seems this is good starter.
