Microsoft Deletes User's 25-Year-Old Account with Thousands Spent on Games
After acknowledging I am the rightful owner of my compromised Microsoft account, the company deleted it anyway. I lost 25 years of data, thousands of euros in game purchases, and my son's baby pictures. It is shocking that one of the world's biggest companies could not recover my account and simply erased everything instead.
One of the biggest companies ever couldn't do that so they just deleted that shit like it was nothing.

It's most certainly not "gone" the db entries are still there, they're just marked as deleted. They could recover it they just don't care to.
