Even with advanced AI agents, I believe humans must still write code to truly understand system architecture and maintain attention. While agents excel at generating changes, only direct coding allows us to experience fragility, fix deep architectural flaws, and prevent the accumulation of sloppy code that harms future automation.
Agents aren't compilers - they're more like freshly onboarded interns. Humans can't surrender their thinking and taste to armies of interns.
