Cities Are Ditching Flock, Replacing It with Axon License Plate Readers
Several U.S. cities have replaced Flock's automatic license plate reader (ALPR) cameras with Axon's systems, citing privacy concerns, data sharing with ICE, and the lack of a national network in Axon's product. The switch highlights a trend: instead of removing ALPR cameras, some municipalities are opting for a vendor with less scrutiny, even as activists question the technology itself.
