The only known trebuchet casualty in history

Archaeologists have identified the only known human killed by a trebuchet: a Scottish defender of Stirling Castle in 1304, crushed by a boulder flung at up to 300 km/h. Analysis of Skeleton 150's shattered bones, including micro-CT scans, ruled out other causes. The find highlights the brutality of medieval siege warfare and the sheer power of these engines.

So, is this because Trebuchet are not particularly lethal, or because they were not used much?
