Moonshine speech-to-text now runs in the browser via JavaScript port
I Ported Moonshine to JavaScript
Moonshine, an open-source speech-to-text library, now runs in browsers through a JavaScript port. The official version, MoonshineJS, compiles the C++ core to WASM and offers high-level APIs, testing infrastructure, and interactive examples. Try minimal transcription or a meeting note taker on moonshine.ai. Developer demand and JavaScript's dominance drove the port, which enables on-client voice interfaces without server round-trips.
Speech wants to be free to use and local, just like all our other input devices like keyboards, mice, touchscreens, and cameras.
