YACS 2.0 – Yet Another Curta Simulator

YACS 2.0, a VRML-based simulator of the Curta mechanical calculator, now runs in modern browsers via WebGL. The update replaces the BS Contact viewer with X_ITE, requiring no downloads. The simulator models the Curta's setters, crank, clearing lever, and carriage, with speeds up to 27 steps per turn. It was built from measurements of a real Curta and includes 70 VRML files and 12 sound files.
