DNS Now Lets Domains Advertise They're for Sale

A domain can now say it is for sale, in DNS

A new DNS record, _for-sale, lets domain owners signal availability without disrupting their live site. Defined by RFC 10023, it's a TXT record carrying version, price, contact, or custom data. Unlike parking, it doesn't affect the website or email. It targets brokers and automated services, filling the gap between registration status and actual willingness to sell. Implementation is simple, but requires careful adherence to format and TTL rules, and DNSSEC signing is recommended to prevent forgery.
