I have been capturing extremely wide photos by pointing an industrial linear camera out of a moving train window. This process involves stitching together thousands of image lines captured every second. I will discuss the challenges of measuring train speed accurately and collecting data fast enough to create a coherent image, along with the difficulties of processing and displaying such massive files.
