Servo 0.4.0 Delivers Real-World Compatibility and New Web Platform Features
June in Servo: real world compat, media queries, SharedWorker, and more
I am excited to share that Servo 0.4.0 includes a record 558 commits, bringing significant improvements to real-world website compatibility on sites like lichess.org and Zulip. This release introduces essential web platform features such as SharedWorker, advanced media queries, and the attr() function, while also addressing critical security vulnerabilities in our SpiderMonkey runtime. We are also making strides in accessibility, WebGPU support, and simplifying the embedding API for developers.
We've started implementing visible and interactive text selection, one of the most long-awaited features of any web browser.
