I chose to teach middle and high school students Forth instead of popular languages like Python or Scratch. My goal was to help them grasp fundamental computing concepts without getting lost in complex syntax. Using physical plates to simulate a data stack, I guided them through building their own art and games in a browser-based environment, proving that obscure tools can unlock new worlds for young learners.
When people know more about computers in general and about making their own software in particular, whole worlds open up.
