Turning a ThinkPad T480 Into a Fully Functional Mobile Phone

Using ThinkPad T480 as a mobile phone

I transformed my ThinkPad T480 into a complete mobile phone by flashing Libreboot to bypass hardware restrictions and installing a Quectel EG25-G modem. This setup enables calls, SMS, and mobile data while allowing native Android app usage through Waydroid. Although antenna connections required custom cables, the result proves a laptop can fully replace a smartphone.
