Make an Origami Circuit Board: Folding Paper to Create Conductive Paths

We developed a method to create electrical circuits by folding and cutting paper impregnated with liquid metal. This technique eliminates the need for separate conductive tapes or molds, allowing crafters to integrate LEDs and motors directly into papercraft. By applying pressure through traditional origami and kirigami techniques, we cracked an insulating layer to reveal conductive pathways. We also built LiqMetCraft, a toolkit and software guide to help beginners create these hybrid electronic objects easily.

What could you do if you could make a circuit trace by just bending a piece of paper?
