Programming Languages Are Authoring Tools for Platforms
I argue that choosing a programming language should not be about academic purity or GitHub trends, but about the platform ecosystem it serves. Languages act as authoring tools that reduce development costs and enable the creation of complementary goods. A platform's true value lies not in its hardware, but in the applications and content built upon it using these specific tools.
An empty Platform is not yet a product. Only when games, productivity applications, and content accumulate on top of it does it become a world where users stay.
