Building Watchable Digital Twins of 64 World Cup Games with PFF Data

I explored how computer vision extracts player tracking data from live broadcasts to create digital twins of World Cup matches. Using high-resolution PFF data, I built a streaming video player that renders 3D stadiums and animated players. By combining XY coordinates with event logs, the system simulates cutscenes for headers, injuries, and celebrations, allowing anyone to replay games or even visualize aliens playing on Mars.

Since we already have the data, we can visualize it any way we want.
