I Learned PCB Design, 3D Printing, and C to Build a Music Streamer

I built a custom music streamer with a 17-inch display shaped like an LP sleeve to bring back the joy of seeing album art. This project required mastering PCB design for the Radxa CM3, creating a custom 3D-printed enclosure, and developing software on Alpine Linux. I even extended the AirPlay protocol to stream full-resolution artwork, solving a common limitation in digital audio.

Turns out, cross-fading two 4MP images at 60 frames per second on a moderately powerful single board computer is not so easy.
