Book Corners: A Global Map of Neighborhood Book Exchange Spots

I explore Book Corners, a community-driven map showcasing diverse free book exchange spots worldwide. From stone niches in Pistoia to repurposed phone boxes in Habrough, these hidden libraries foster local connection. The platform highlights creative sharing spaces like the Flemingate Little Sharing Library and the Midway Free Library and Garden, inviting everyone to discover and contribute to their neighborhood's literary landscape.

A small free-book exchange is built into a rounded stone-framed niche in a pale yellow wall, giving it the feel of a tiny neighborhood library.

Nice idea i even found on my city in Sweden! How to you get the data for those exchange spots? Maybe it was in the website and i missed it

This is a nice idea but a lot of the OSM tiles show as blocked due to lack of a Referer.

I have lots of old books that aren’t very good. That I can’t give away. What do I do with them? I have this strange taboo feeling about destroying books, even bad ones!
